World Pinhole Camera Day

It's been and gone, the last sunday of April every year is World Pinhole Camera Day

Barking Mad?

Maybe, the lowest of low tech simplicity is the appeal

Just light + film = image

After last years abortive effort I'd got my shit together, sussed out what went wrong and had another crack at it. I'm trying to use the multi-shot capacity of a disposable camera rather than having to arse around changing film in a darkened closet.

Films being developed now, all will be revealed......................

In the mean time check out the world wide gallery

Will be interested to see the results. Just after New Year's day 2005 I was glissading down a snow slope below Avalanche Peak and came to a halt near a woman resting on the rocks by the slope. I said hello; she smiled and we started chatting, but she quickly pointed out I was standing in her picture. I hadn't noticed the pinhole camera she'd set up. I still wonder whether there's a ghostly figure traversing that photo. Anyway, why would anyone not want me their picture, I have to ask? Not that I'm vain or anything...

Must remember to post your CDs back. Cheers mapguy.

Hi Wordgirl.

Thanks for leaving me a comment all the way from New Zealand.

Some of those pinhole camera shots in the gallery are amazing!
